‘If I ever quit acting, will pursue journalism’

Popular actor Mosharraf Karim often finds himself thinking that perhaps it’s time to leave acting. But after staying away from it for a few days, he realizes he can’t stay away for long. Inevitably, he returns to work.
In a recent interview with the media, Mosharraf Karim said, ‘Sometimes I feel like quitting acting altogether. But I’ve noticed that I can’t go more than 10-12 days without it. I feel like I’m unable to do anything else. I can’t even enjoy anything else.’
He further said, ‘I can’t even imagine doing a regular job. However, I do feel like doing other creative work, like writing. I also have an interest in journalism. For a long time, I’ve felt like interviewing people like Tariq Bhai (Tariq Anam Khan). Sometimes I feel like doing a long-form interview with Hayat Bhai (Abul Hayat).’
Mosharraf Karim holds the profession of journalism in high regard. If he ever quits acting, he wishes to pursue journalism. On this note, he said, ‘The creative aspect of journalism is that you can bring out a person and understand their insights. A true conversation or discussion is something that enriches me personally, and by watching or reading that conversation, others also become enriched, delighted, and gain new perspectives. If I ever quit acting, I might go into journalism. I deeply respect this profession.’
