TheBrief: BB, Jamuna bank hold workshop on EDP

A month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) jointly organised by Jamuna Bank PLC and Bangladesh Bank under the SICIP project of the Ministry of Finance was inaugurated recently in Jhenaidah.

The programme aims to build the capacity of new and existing entrepreneurs through training and financial support, especially those outside the formal banking system.

Senior officials and localentrepreneurs attended the event, where guests expressed hope that the initiative would promote financial inclusion and strengthen local entrepreneurship, says a press release.

The event was chaired by Md. Shahidul Islam, Deputy Managing Director& CRO of Jamuna Bank PLC. Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and Project Director of SICIP, attended as the Chief Guest, while Superintendent of Police Md. Manzur Morshed formally inaugurated the program.
