BMD forecasts rain across country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am on Thursday.
“Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Narsingdi & Narayanganj districts, and it may abate, reports BSS.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged, the bulletin said. The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 38 degree Celsius in Rajarhat under Rangpur division, while on Thursday’s minimum temperature was 21.5 degree Celsius in Tangail.
