JU hosts 5 days cultural fest

Jahangirnagar University (JU) is set to host a five-day cultural festival titled ‘July Gatha’ to commemorate the historic July Uprising and the fall of autocrat Hasina on July 36, a day now symbolically observed as a stand against autocracy.

Announcing the event at a press conference held at the teachers’ lounge of the central cafeteria on Wednesday, Prof Jamal Uddin, Director of the Students’ Counselling and Guidance Centre, said the festival will run from July 29 to August 2 at the university’s Muktamancha, in collaboration with various JU-based cultural organisations, reports BSS.
