OMR-based activities inagurated in South Surma Government College

Sylhet Education Board Chairman Professor Md. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury said that the use of technology is a milestone of progress in education.The use of information and technology in all fields of education has further enhanced the quality of education. To develop the new generation of Bangladesh as a skilled manpower, ICT-based education has already been introduced in education programs. As a result, students will be able to prepare themselves as skilled in information technology in their future careers. Similarly, the use of technology in education has started a new chapter in the country’s education system.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the auspicious inauguration ceremony of the OMR-based activities for the evaluation of the answer sheets of the multiple-choice examination of the college’s internal examination at the Professor Mostaq Hossain Educationists’ Conference Center at South Surma Government College on Monday afternoon.
Head of the ICT Department of the college, Kaniz Fatema, presided over the programme and Deepak Chandra moderated it.
Special guests included Didar Chowdhury, Vice Principal of Sylhet Government Alia Madrasa, Professor Abul Kashem Azad, Head of the Chemistry Department of Sunamganj Government College, and Iftekhar Alam, Principal of South Surma Government College. Welcome speeches were delivered by Md. Matiur Rahman, Secretary of the College’s Academic Council, Md. Joynul Islam, Secretary of the Teachers’ Council, Rahena Haque, Head of the Philosophy Department, Sumon Roy, Lecturer of the English Department, and Syeda Momena Begum Limu, Lecturer of the Social Sciences Department.
