Film screening, drone show at Shaheed Minar today marking July Women’s Day

NN Online:
As part of the month-long July Uprising commemoration, a special cultural event will be held at the Central Shaheed Minar today (Monday) at 6 PM, featuring film screenings, musical performances, and a drone show.

Organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the event will open with the national anthem, followed by a televised message from the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs honoring the martyred women of the July movement.

Three films—You Failed to Kill Abrar Fahad, July Women, and July Bishad Sindhu—produced by the Cultural Affairs Ministry, will be screened during the programme.

Tributes will also be paid to the women from July’s martyr families and the female fighters who took part in the uprising.

Musical performances by artists Sayan, Parsa Mahzabin, and Elita Karim, along with bands Ella La La, F Minor, and Samageet, will follow. A thematic drone show depicting the July Uprising and Prelude will cap the cultural segment.

After the drone display, recorded chants of resistance by the “July girls” will resound from various halls of Dhaka University.

Special attendance is expected from women across all educational institutions—teachers and students from schools, colleges, and public and private universities.
