Efforts underway for late HSC examinee to retake exam
NN Online:
An HSC candidate from Dhaka Education Board Laboratory School and College was barred from taking her exam on Thursday after arriving late to the exam centre—reportedly due to her mother’s sudden illness.
The incident occurred at the Government Mirpur Bangla College centre in Dhaka during the first day of the HSC examinations, which began with the Bangla First Paper.
Responding to media reports, the Chief Adviser’s Office issued a statement on Facebook, noting that the matter has drawn official attention and is under active consideration.
Education Adviser C R Abrar stated: “The incident is being handled with humanitarian concern. We are working to find a way for the student to sit for the Bangla First Paper exam in accordance with relevant examination rules. We understand her hardship and ask her not to lose hope.”
Authorities assured that efforts are underway to resolve the issue within the framework of public exam regulations.
