Corona tests start at SSNIMCH

In view of the increase in Corona infection in the country. Directorate General (DG) of Health Services has decided to introduced corona tests in the hospitals. However, for now, this tests continuation of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital (SSNIMCH) has started corona testing on a limited scale from Saturday (June,21).
Director (Incharge) of SSNIMCH, dr. Helish Ranjan Sarkar confirmed this matter. He also said that, since there is an RT-PCR lab at Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College in Kishoreganj, we have initially started this test there recently. The test has come out negative for the time being. A final decision can be made based on the report of the experts. At least 25 ICU beds are ready at SSNIMCH for the proper treatment of patients infected with coronavirus, this ICU will be used to provide artificial respiration to critical patients through ventilators. We will need only three more days to prepare the ICU beds effectively.
Civil Surgeon (CS) dr.Avijit Sharma said that initially, it is known that covid -19 test begins at Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital, sadar 250- bed general hospital that have RT. PCR labs. Corona testing will be available at Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital (SSNIMCH) for the time being.
