Ammonia supply Ban from Shahjalal Fertilizer in Sylhet

Several dealers have been banned from entering the fertilizer factory to collect liquid ammonia gas from the Fenchuganj Shahjalal Fertilizer Company Limited in Sylhet.

On the orders of the court, the Fenchuganj Police Station issued this ban notice on Saturday to maintain law and order.

The notice signed by ASI Kanchan Chakraborty of Fenchuganj Police Station mentioned that there is a dispute of Tk 2 crore inside the fertilizer factory between the fertilizer dealer Messrs. Said Enterprise and ammonia dealers Rafiqul Islam, Md. Mashiur Rahman, Mizanur Rahman and Ripon Ahmed of Sarishabari in Jamalpur district.

Raihan Uddin, the proprietor of Said Enterprise, filed a case in the Additional District Magistrate Court of Sylhet regarding this.

In the context of the case, the court directed Fenchuganj Police Station to maintain law and order in the mentioned matter. The notice mentioned that the two groups of disputants, namely Messrs. Said Enterprise Proprietor Raihan Uddin and Rafiqul Islam, Md. Mashiur Rahman, Ripon Ahmed, Mizanur Rahman and 30/40 unidentified people will not be allowed to enter the fertilizer factory until the matter is resolved.

It is learned that the defendants Rafiqul Islam, Mizanur Rahman, Mashiur Rahman and Ripon Ahmed extorted Tk 2 crore from dealer Raihan Uddin by promising to give authorization and business in the name of 12 organizations including Bushra Enterprise, Niloy Nirjon Enterprise, Shuvo Enterprise.

Recently, when Raihan Uddin went to ask them for the Tk 2 crore he was owed, he was threatened and intimidated.

Unable to find a way out of this incident, businessman Raihan Uddin took refuge in the court. ASI Kanchan Chakraborty said that notices have already been given to the managing director of Shahjalal Fertilizer Factory and the security branch along with the two groups involved.

If anyone disobeys the law after receiving the notice, a case will be filed against them under the existing law.
