What’s a series victory of the royal Bengal Tiger against Pakistan. It is really tremendous . The whole spectators in Sherebangla cricket stadium burst into wild jubilations . The tigers simply outclassed Pakistamn in three concesutive one day matches by compresive victory and thus clinched the eries. Earlier we expected banglawash. Now the dream came true. This was tenth whitewashing record of Bangladesh The President, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker, Deputy speaker, Opposition leader and ex-prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia extended heartiest congratulations to the national cricket team for clinching the three-match one-day international (ODI) series against Pakistan.
In the first OD Pakistan was trounced by 79 runs. Tamim(102) and Mushfique(106). Their breezy tons enabled team Bangladesh to score a comprensive victory. It was a victory ever remember as the team made it after a long lay off(16 years). Bangladesh scored highest ever OD runs(329 for 6). Pakistan batting second bundled out at 250 in 45.2 over. Captain Azhar Ali scored 72. Fast bowler Taskin and wrist spinner Arafat Sunny bagged 3 wickets each. Then jubilation for the victory after a long await rocked the whole country. It was natural. For in at least(so far as my knowledge goes) five Ods Pakistan had a narrow escape. In Asian cup final(held in 2012) Pakistan won only by 3 runs. Bangladesh in the last Asian cup set 326 but lost to Sahid Afridi not Pakistan
Tuning to Sunday’s (19th April 2015) Pakistan won toss and elected to bat first. It scored 239 for 6 in 50 overs. Nasim scored 77* and Riaz 51*, Haries 44 and Azhar 36. Afater the fall of 5 quick wickets at 75 there was some stubborn resistence yet with slow otherwise wicket saving batting with two fifty runs partnership. Sixth wicket fell after a long time. Sakib bagged two wickets, Mushrafi 1 , Rubel one and Sunny 1. The victory target was set at 240-competitive but nor unreachable. The tigers could easily reached the target. The openers opened the innings with a flying start. Then Junaid Khan claimed the wicket of sarker with a ball mixed with sewing and speed. The ball was edged to the Wicket keeper. Thje second wicket was down at 100. The team batting second siply played with a command with superb batting perfoemance of Timim and Musfique. Tamim wrecked havoc with a hurricane innings keweping Pak. Bowling attack at bay. Pakistan already went to back foot as Tamim and Mushfique went went all out to attack Junain, Wahab, Ajmal and Rahat. The team Bangladesh won by 7 wickets with 12 overs left. Tamim was awarded man of the match twice. He scored back to back century. In the first one day at the same venue Tamim and Musfique both scored scientillating century.
The spectators burst into wild celebration when the man of the match Tamim Iqbal hit tons enabling Bangladesh to fulfil their expectation of a series sweep. Varsity campus in Dhaka turned for a moment into a sea of students gathering in front of the academic buildings enjoying victory celebration with wild jubilation. However in different parts of the country there were celebrations but the manifestation was not much frenzied. This is because we are beginning to win against any giant. Previously it was out of expectation. Now the people do not seem to be much crazy with jubilation. We have had a splendid record of test and one day series white wash against a second-string West Indies in 2007 as far as I remember. History beckons team Bangladesh that has so far won a lot of ODIs against top-flight opposition
The tigers roared whitewashing Zimbawabwe in test and ODs series 2014. We celebrated the grand series victory but we did not go wild with celebration after winning the last one-day international and the series against zimbwabwe . Shakib Al Hasan, and Mushrafi and Musfiq praised his side’s character after they earned series victory against Zimbwabwe. Earlier in 2010 Bangladesh white washed .New Zealand. New Zealand were set 242 in Mirpur to win but Shakib, who scored a superb century in the Bangladesh innings, led an inspired bowling performance with three wickets as the Kiwis were bowled out for 232 in the 50th over. The spectators burst into wild celebration when the man of the match Rubel Hossain dismantled the middle stump of Kyle Mills, enabling Bangladesh to fulfil their expectation of a series sweep.
Whitewashing against a test playing country is not a maiden one. In December 9 2006 tigers completed series white wash against Zimbabwe in fifty -fifty cricket. Captain Habibul Bashar guided his team to its first ODI series whitewash beating Zimbabwe 5-0 . This was second home series win against Zimbabwe after the first 3-2 ODI series win in January, 2005. The tigers whitewashed New Zealand twice.
In whatever way world press views our victory it goes without saying that team Bangladesh is rising to scale. Our coaches like Gordon Greenidge, Whatmore, Jamie Siddons, Mohsin Kamal and Ian Pont and now Hatui Singh were committed to the upgradation of the standard of team Bangladesh. Our Cricket is actually rising with rising superstars in recent times, special thanks to Siddons and balling coach Ian Pont. They all endeavor to give a yeoman’s service to Bangladesh cricket boosting the morale and confidence of cricket stars. Space bowers’ hunting operation was really a meaningful step towards producing young prodigies gifted with fast bowling talents. We have also bright and world class spinners like Razzak, Mahamudullah and Sakib. Their predecessor-M. Rafique – was also a class one spinner bagging more than one hundred wickets in test as well in one day playing a few matches.
Really our cricketers are national heroes playing with a good deal of determination. Now our cricketers are prepared to join forthcoming world cap. Their superb display of cricket in the series against New Zealand has inspired them to go all out for world cup preparation. They should learn from their mistakes. The batting coach is aware about the weak point of our batsmen. The mistakes done in batting power play ought to be addressed. For batting power play may be a decisive factor in victory and defeat in word cup competition.
Hats off to BCCB chaiman Nazmul Hasan and Coach Hatui Singh for forging strict discipline and building confidence to play with a professional spirit. The team is really rising to ascendency with present mangement.
 It seems that we have passed a host of eventful moments in the realm of cricket. Our cricket fans in Bangladesh were in festive mood with much fanfare in and outside the stadium. Our youngstars in dhaka university became delirious rejoicing as Bangladesh also outclassed Pakistan in a small cricket like T-20. Their craze found no limit. Even then they demonstrated a high sense of discipline helping the volunteers to maintain peace and order. This was behaviour of our cricket fans are not exceptional as they showed much restrain not going unruly with frenzied expressiion.
It may be mentioned T-20 attacted huge crowed . It is 20limited over cricket taking less than two hours to to be finished with a sure result. It has become popularized by defunct ICL and Approved IPL. Now IPL is progressing. We have seen T-20frency during last T-twenty world cup held in Bangladesh.(2014). The enthusiastic youth carried placards and boards showing ‘sabash Bangladesh ‘. In some places some appeared in the scenario wearing different styles of colour shirts while others oainting themselves to encourage the tigers. Girls also participated in the festivity along with boys singing in tune with high-pitched song like”char sakkar ..dom furaia gelo koi. The city of Chittagong marked the occasion with the photos of royal Bengal tiger.
I accompanied by my son enjoyed match in Chittogong. In dhaka my son enjoyed a number of matches including the final acompanied by his uncle.
Bangladesh taste first T-20 victory against Pakistan even lossong the toss. It exploited the myth that victory depended on toss win. In two last two Ods Bangladesh inflicted crushing dedeat on Team Pakistan despite the fact that it tigers did not win the toss. The latest victory was really glorious a landmark . For we thought that Bangladesh was vulnerable in T-20. Tighers played seven twenty against Pakistan but without success. In fact the tigers registered first ever victory against Pakistan . The President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker, Deputy speaker, Opposition leader and ex-prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia extended heartiest congratulations to the national cricket team. PM Shaikh Hasina watched the march all along encouraging the tigers. PM greeted the captain Musrafi after the victory and distributed trophy. Acording to News reports:
Tigers have sealed the lone Twenty-20 encounter against Pakistan by a huge seven wicket victory.A fabulous unbeaten 108-run partnership effort off 73 balls by Shakib Al Hasan and Sabbir Rahaman made a brisk propelled Bangladesh to the vicotory.Sakib Al Hasan scored 57 off 41 balls smashing nine groundbreaking boundaries. Sabbir Rahman made a passionate 51 off 32 balls hitting seven boundaries and a whirlwind maximum.Sabbir adjudged man of the match.Soumya Sarkar has been dismissed for a duck in his T20 debut without facing a single ball while Tamim sent back scoring 14. Mushfiqur Rahim was also sent off in Wahab Riaz delivery scoring 19 off 15 balls. Sakib Al Hasan (21) and Sabbir Rahman (10) are on crease to battle down the 142 target by Pakistan.
Tigers made an excellent fielding effort as they encircled Pakistan within 142/5 in their maiden Twenty-20 encounter at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket stadium on Friday. Arafat Sunny bagged Mukhtar Ahmed, the vital one who was steady with 37 from the opening stand.Mukhtar wanted to swing over covers but missed. Mushfiq collects the ball in a flash and takes the bails off.He scored a solid 37-run off 30 balls hitting five boundaries and a maximum.Pakistan scored 123 losing three wickets from 17 overs. Debutant Mustafizur picked up Shahid Afridi in a fabulous out swing delivery just after a flying six by the skipper in tenth over.Afridi was adjudged caught behind off Mustafizur scoring 12 off 9 balls.
Taskin Ahmed sent back Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad to the pavilion in the last delivery of the eighth over.A good length ball outside off, Shehzad stands on the front foot and lifts it in the air. Mash runs across to his left from long-off and completes a tumbling catch.Shehzad scored 17 off 31 balls.Pakistan have won to toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh in their first T-20 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.The Tigers outlined pacer Mustafizur Rahman in the squad in Rubel Hossain’s place in the first T-20 encounter.Bangladesh are on a high after their 3-0 scoreline and have trusted Soumya Sarkar, fresh off a match-winning maiden century in ODIs, with his first T20 cap. He is slated to open with an in-form Tamim Iqbal. The final debutant was 19-year old left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman.
Now the tigers fighting with Pakistan in Two tests. The first is being played in Khulna.
