Awaiting good story to work: Achol Akhe

At one time, heroine Achol Akhe, who had acted in one successful movie after another in Dhallywood, was at the top of the discussion.
She won the hearts of her fans with her looks and qualities in a very short time. But suddenly everything came to a halt.
No new movies, no promotional appearances. She literally disappeared from the silver screen.
Time has passed, but the question remains, why this sudden disappearance? Now, breaking that silence, Achol revealed in an interview the reason for her absence from the screen.
Achol Akhe made her silver screen debut in movie ‘Bhool’. Then, she caught the attention of the fans with the movie ‘Jotil Prem’, and this actress won the audience’s appreciation overnight and established herself as a strong presence in Dhallywood by acting in the movie ‘Sultana Bibiana’.
However, suddenly explaining the reason for staying behind the scenes for several years, Achol said, “I am actually not far from cinema. To make a movie, you have to get good offers. And the offers I get now are not worth doing in the current context.”
The actress also said, “Nowadays, there have been many changes in the way cinema is made and the tastes of the audience in our country. Now, I want to work in movies with good stories, directors, and co-artistes, and big budgets, otherwise I won’t work. I had some new work coming up, but I gave up on it because the bat and ball didn’t match.”
Achol also had the opportunity to work in a grant-funded film. She said about this: “I got the opportunity to work in two grant films, but I turned them down because I had never worked on a film like this before.
I will act in a film with a grant, and if I win, I will think that its story and script are absolutely perfect, and it has the potential to win a National Award. Besides, if the story and characters are good, the acting can be showcased there, and the audience can enjoy it too. And I’m waiting for that good story.”
Achol Akhe was last seen in a music video for the song ‘Matal’ by musician Syed Ome, released in 2024.
