French Embassy Dhaka inks deal with Guardian Life Insurance

Guardian Life Insurance Limited (GLIL) inks deal with the Embassy of France in Bangladesh to provide comprehensive insurance coverage for its employees and their families.
Under this agreement, all staff and dependants of the French Embassy will be eligible for both life insurance and medical benefits under Guardian’s coverage.
The agreement was formalised at a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both organisations. Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, Additional Managing Director and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Life, and H E Marie Masdupuy, Ambassador of France to Bangladesh, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions, says a press release.
From Guardian Life, present at the signing were Mahmudur Rahman Khan, Additional Managing Director and Head of Retail Business; Md Sajib Hossain, FCA, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; Farjana Quader, Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources; Ghazi Rafi Ahmed Shams, Senior Vice President and Head of Group Insurance; and Iftakher Ahmed, Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of Group Insurance.
The French Embassy delegation included Frédéric Lecourt, Consul and Head of Chancery, and Kazi Abdullah Al Muktadir, Administrative Manager.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Rakibul Karim said, “Insurance plays an instrumental role in times of crisis. Taking employee wellbeing into account, many organisations are now prioritising insurance services for their teams.
In this connection, we are pleased to partner with the Embassy of France in Bangladesh. Our collaboration will ensure that policyholders benefit from timely insurance coverage. We are committed to extending insurance services and making them more accessible for all.”
