Youth arrested for insulting Quran in Golapganj

Police have arrested a youth named Ali Hasan Milad in Golapganj upazila of Sylhet for posting insulting the Quran on Facebook.
Police arrested him on Friday (May 16) afternoon.

Ali Hasan Milad is the son of Md. Badrul Islam of Goaspur area of ​​the upazila.

It is learned that Ali Hasan Milad posted insults about Islam, Al-Quran, and the Prophet Muhammad on Facebook. Later, people in the area started looking for him. Later, when he surrendered to the army, the army and police brought him to the area. He repented in front of thousands of people and told everyone present that he would never do such a thing again in his life. Later, the police took him to the police station.

In this regard, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Golapganj Model Police Station Md. Moniruzzaman Molya confirmed the matter and said that legal action will be taken against him.
