3 killed in Kishoreganj thunder strike

At least three farmers were killed and one injured in separate lightning strikes in Kishoreganj on Sunday afternoon
The incidents occurred in Bhairab, Kuliarchar and Hossainpur upazilas around 4 pm on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Faisal Mia (28), son of Yunus Mia of Srinagar village in Bhairab , Faruk Mia (68) son of Afsar Uddin Mia in Rasulpur of Bhairab port town and Kabir Mia (25), son of Shafiqul Islam of Hazarinagar village in Kuliarchar upazila.
Abu Bakar (60) of Araibaria village in Hossainpur upazila was injured.
Locals said that it started raining with thunder at around 4 pm. The three farmers were already working in the field. Three of them were seriously injured after being struck by lightning. Local people rescued them and took them to Bhairab 100- Beded Hospital where the duty doctor declared them dead.
Dr. Umme Habiba Jui, of Bhairab 100-Beded Hospital , said that three patients injured by lightning were brought in. They died before being brought to the hospital.
On the other hand, Abu Bakar of Araibaria village was injured in a lightning strike in the Kurighate area of Hossainpur upazila.
