BD receives $1.66b remittance in 15 days of March

Bangladesh receives over $1.66 billion remittance during the first 15 days of March in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The amount of inbound remittance in March is expected to cross $3.0 billion, the highest figure in the history, as the country is receiving $110 million every day in remittance.
Earlier, Bangladesh received $2.528 billion in remittances in February 2025 alone, the fourth-highest monthly inflow in the country’s history.
The central bank reports that the overall amount of remittance inflow during the July-February period of the current FY25 was $18.49 billion, which represented a 23.8% growth over the same time in the previous fiscal year.
Central bank data analysis showed that during the July-February period of FY24, Bangladesh received $14.94 billion in remittances.
