BPL resumes today

After one-day hiatus, the Dutch-Bangla Bank Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket resumes today at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Chittagong Kings will take on Dhaka Capitals in the day’s first match, which will start at 1:30pm, while Fortune Barishal will face Khulna Tigers in the day’s second match, which will begin at 6.:30pm.
Private satellite sports channel T Sports and private satellite channel GTV will telecast the matches live.
Rangpur Riders led the points table collecting maximum 16 points from eight matches. Rangpur Riders are the only team, which remained unbeaten.
Chittagong Kings took the second position in the points table gaining 10 points from eight matches. Fortune Barishal took the third position bagging 10 points from seven matches. Though Chttagong Kings and Fortune Barishal collected same points but by virtue of better run rate, Chittagong Kings took the second spot.
Khulna Tigers took the fourth position grabbing six points from seven matches, while Durbar Rajshahi took the fifth position claiming six points from nine matches. Dhaka Capitals and Sylhet Strikers earned four points each from their ninth and eighth games respectively.
Taskin Ahmed of Durbar Rajshahi was the highest wicket taker who captured 20 wickets. Abu Hider of Khulna Tigers was the second highest wicket taker who bagged 13 wickets. Akif Javed of Rangpur Riders was the third highest wicket taker who claimed 12 wickets.
Anamul Haque of Durbar Rajshahi was the highest run getter who scored 345 runs. Tanzid Hasan Tamim of Dhaka Capitals was the second highest run getter who scored 330 runs. Litton Das of Dhaka Capitals was the third highest run getter who scored 323 runs.
