DCC student goes missing after class

A first-year student from Dhaka City College (DCC) has been missing for three days after leaving college.
According to her family, she left her home in Keraniganj around 7:30am on Thursday, to attend college.
She attended her classes, but didn’t returned home after that.
After searching for her, her father filed a General Diary (GD) at Dhanmondi Police Station on Friday.
Dhanmondi Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Saiful Alam confirmed the matter to the media.
The GD mentions that the student left home in her college uniform at 7:30am on January 16 and attended her classes, but did not return home afterward.
Further inquiries through her friends and teachers revealed that she had left college to return home.
The missing student’s mother told media that her daughter had recently befriended a boy on Facebook and the boy had been bothering her. A few months ago, the boy threatened her daughter over the phone, saying he would abduct her if she did not marry him.
However, she could not provide the boy’s name or address.
SI Mohammad Saiful Alam told media that efforts are underway to locate the missing student quickly.
