Kishoreganj IT park work in progress

An IT park is being built in Kishoreganj Sadar. Former President Md. Abdul Hamid laid the foundation stone of this project in 2022 under the name Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center. The name of the project has been changed recently due to the political changes in the country, but its construction is ongoing.
It is learned that this IT park is being built on a 5-acre land of the Public Works Department in the Sholmara area of Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila. The previous name of the project has been changed to Kishoreganj IT Park.
On Saturday , it was seen that the construction of a 7-storey building is underway. A contracting company named Messrs. Rahman Traders is working on the construction of the IT park building.
Md. Mohsin, manager of Messrs. Rahman Traders, said that the main contractor of the project is a construction company of the army named ‘Bangladesh Diesel Plant Limited’. They are building 11 such IT parks across the country. However, they are doing the construction work on a sub-contract from that army organization. However, the army organization is supervising the entire construction work of the IT park.
