BTV’s Diamond Jubilee Singers sing ‘Pillar Song’

Rumana Islam, Rizia Parveen, Hasan Chowdhury, Alam Ara Minu, Muhin Khan, Sabbir Zaman and Sharalipi sang
a song titled ‘Bangladesh Television’ together on the occasion of 60 years of the establishment of Bangladesh Television (BTV) i.e. its diamond jubilee.
The song is written and composed by noted lyricist and composer Milton Khondokar.
At the beginning of the song, “Du’chokh Chharao Tomar Chokhe Dekhechhi Jogoter Sob, Tomar Majhei Lal Sabujer Astittwer Anubhob’.
December 25 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of BTV. From that day, the song ‘Bangladesh Television’ will be aired as the ‘Pillar Song’ of BTV. This is the first time that such a song has been created about BTV. That is, this is the first song titled ‘Bangladesh Television’.
So, those who gave voice to this song are definitely lucky.
Regarding talking about the song, singer Rumana Islam told this correspondent, “BTV is the channel of our life. We have a different love and affection for this channel. There is also the pull of the soul. So, when there is no programme on this channel, Therefore, when there is no part of any program on this channel, then a love works within itself. So, a song has been made in the 60th year of the establishment of that beloved channel. I also gave voice in that song. This is really interesting.”
The national film award winning music composer Muhin Khan said, “In the 60th year of BTV’s journey, there is a song titled ‘Bangladesh Television’. Thanks to respected Milton Khondokar for writing and composing such a wonderful song. We all sang the song with great sincerity. Hope everyone feels that way.”
Singer Sabbir Zaman told this correspondent, “I have sung many different names on BTV. But this kind of song is my first song. It was a very beautiful song. We all tried to make the song alive.”
On the other hand, singer Sharalipi shared her feelings by this way, “My sincere gratitude to the person who initiated this song. Thanks to respected Milton Khondokar Sir for making such a wonderful song. Truly, as an artiste of this generation, I am proud to be associated with such a song. We hope that the audience will like this song in all of our voices.”
Singer Muhin Khan said that this song will be aired regularly from December 25 every year on BTV throughout the year.
