Man killed over land dispute in Gaibandha
UNB, Gaibandha :
A man was killed and others injured in a land related clash between two rival groups at Fulhar village in Gobindoganj upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Hatem Ali, 42, son of Jhanu Mondol of the village.
Quoting locals, police said there had been a long standing dispute between Hatem and a local Nurunnobi Miah over the ownership of a piece of a land. As a sequel to the enmity, an altercation ensued between Hatem and Nurunnobi when Nurunnobi and his men went to the disputed land to plant paddy at noon.
