Victory Day observed in Magura

The great Victory Day was celebrated on Monday with various programs in Magura. The district administration has adopted various programs throughout the month to celebrate the day with due dignity and enthusiasm.
The agenda includes decorating the city’s main roads and road islands with flags, lighting up important government and private buildings, starting the day with 31 gunshots, hoisting the national flag at government and private buildings, laying wreaths at the Freedom Fighters’ Memorial by Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam and Police Superintendent Mina Mahmuda at 8 am, The official hoisting of the national flag by the Deputy Commissioner Md. Ahidul Islam, inauguration of the Bijoy Mela, reception of the family members of the freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters, special prayers and supplications at noon in all mosques, temples, churches, pagodas and other places of worship, high-quality food in hospitals, prisons, government children’s homes and all orphanages.
There are various programs including performances, a picture exhibition based on the Liberation War, cultural programs, painting competitions, friendly football matches, and prize distribution. To mark the
day, the Magura Press Club laid wreaths at the Liberation War Memorial and organized a discussion meeting at the Press Club auditorium.
