International Anti-Corruption Day observed in Kurigram

The International Anti-Corruption Day-2024 was observed with a long programme in Kurigram on Monday last. The district administration and the integrated district office of Anti-Corruption Commission in Kurigram jointly organised the day programme while the District Corruption Prevention Committee and the Shacheyton Nagorik Committee (Shanak)-TIB in Kurigram assisted them.
The programme included a gathering held at the office premises of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Monday night taking students-teachers, BNCC, Rover Scouts, Shanak members, different government officials, the Anti-discrimination Student Movement leaders and local journalists; hosting national and ACC flags with singing the national anthem, inaugurating the day programme with flying festoon-balloon, a rally, human chain and a discussion meeting.
The discussion meeting, presided by Additional Deputy Commissioner ADC (General) Uttam Kumar Roy, was held at the DC’s conference room on the titled ‘Youth unity against corruption will make purity of the future’.
The Deputy Commissioner DC Nusrat Sultana was its chief guest while Police Super S.P Md. Mahfuzur Rahman and Abu Hena Ashikur Rahman, Deputy Director of the ACC were special guests.Among others, Faisal Ahmed Sagar, Member-Secretary of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Kurigram, District Livestock Officer Dr. Habibur Rahman, Civil Surgeon Dr. Manzur-E-Morshed and Kurigram Government College’s Principal Prof. Mirza Md. Nasir Uddin.The program was conducted by the ACC Deputy Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury.
