Bangladesh, India in same group in AFC Asian Cup qualifiers

Bangladesh were drawn with India, Hong Kong and Singapore in Group C of the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 qualifiers.

The draw ceremony, which saw 24 teams– split into six groups, was held at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday.

The Asian Cup qualifying matches will be held over two legs– home and away– basis in March next year.

The champions of each six group will qualify for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 in Saudi Arabia. So far, 18 teams have confirmed their place, including defending champions Qatar and hosts Saudi Arabia.

India are the higher-ranked side in this group at 127 while Hong Kong are at 156, Singapore at 161 and Bangladesh at 185.

October 9, 2025: Bangladesh vs Hong Kong, Singapore vs India
October 14, 2025: Hong Kong vs Bangladesh, India vs Singapore
November 18, 2025: Bangladesh vs India, Hong Kong vs Singapore
March 31, 2026: India vs Hong Kong, Singapore vs Bangladesh.
