Gold trader kills younger brother over land dispute

A gold trader was killed and his daughter- in -law was injured in an attack came out reportedly by his elder brother over a land dispute in Batrish (Bara Bazar)of Kishoreganj town on Wednesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Julhasuddin Jibon , son of late Hajee Md. Gafur Miah, Proprietor of Grameen Jewellers in Kishoreganj ‘s Bara Bazar.
According to locals, an argument took place between Jibon and his elder brother Rubel over a few feet of land, family feud . At one stage of the argument, the family member of Rubel attacked the victim’s family, leaving Jibon critically injured.
Jibon’s daughter in law Mahfuz injured.
Relatives took them to kishoreganj General Hospital where the physicians referred Jibon to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). He then, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital while undergoing treatment around Thursday midnight.
Victim Jibon left behind his mother, wife, two son, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
Murderer Rubel is a drug addicted.
Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mamun confirmed the death matter, adding that efforts are on to arrest the involved person and accused Rubel was sent to Jail.
