Disabled persons get wheel chairs, crutches in Rangpur

On the eve of 33rd International Person with Disability Day and 26th National Person with Disability Day, on Tuesday Community Eye Care & Research Center, Rangpur has disbursed wheel chairs and crutches as helping equipment among person with disabilities.

Sightsavers under Districts Inclusive Eye Care Program arranged a rally to mark the occasion.
After ending the decorative rally, ADC General Mr. Md.Abdul Mannan disbursed wheel chairs and crutches among person with disabilities.

Director of Divisional Social Welfare Department, Jilufa Sultana, Deputy-Director of District Social Welfare Department, Abdul Matin, were present at the event.

Besides, Civil Surgeon, Rangpur Dr. Mostofa Jaman Chowdhuri, District Police Super Md. Shorif Uddin were also present.

Sightsavers District Coordinator Masud Rana, Asst. Executive Director of Community Eye Care & Research Center Tushar Kanti Das, Senior manager of Community Eye Care & Research Center, Zafor Ahmed and Inclusion Officer of Community Eye Care & Research Center, Sheik Abdul Karim participated in the event.

Twelve persons with disability under different upazilas of Rangpur district received wheel chairs and crutches .
