Gold medallist shooter Sadia no more

Sadia Sultana, Bangladeshi gold medalist shooter, has passed away while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Chattogram on Monday.

She passed away while undergoing treatment at an Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Chattogram. Doctors confirmed that her death resulted from a brain hemorrhage. Sadia had faced prolonged health issues since a fire accident in 2017 left her severely injured. “My daughter Sadia is no more. She left everyone around 2 pm. We are now taking her body out of the hospital,”said Sadia Sultana’s father.

Sadia Sultana won gold in the 10m air rifle team event at the 2010 SA Games. She also won a medal in the Commonwealth Shooting in Delhi that year. Sadia also won a gold medal at the 2013 Bangladesh Games. Since then, she has kept herself away from the shooting arena.
