BCB announces squad for Afghanistan ODI series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Friday the 15-member Bangladesh One Day International (ODI) squad for the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
Najmul Hossain Shanto has retained his captaincy. Litton Das has been not included in the squad as the wicketkeeper-batter has been suffering from fever for some time.
Shakib Al Hasan has not been included in the squad as he is not totally fit.
Pacer Nahid Rana has been called by the BCB for the first time to play in the ODI match. Shoriful Islam has been included in the squad.
He could not play in the two Test matches against South Africa due to injury. Nasum Ahmed returned to the squad.
Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the first ODI at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates on November 6.
The Tigers will face the Afghans in the second ODI at the same venue on November 9. Bangladesh will meet Afghanistan in the third ODI at the same venue on November 11.
The Bangladesh team will depart for the UAE in two groups on Saturday and Sunday.
The cricketers, who have been selected for the three ODIs against Afghanistan, are: Soumya Sarkar, Tanzid Hasan, Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali Anik, Mehidy Hassan Miraz (Vice-Captain), Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam and Nahid Rana.
