8 Ishwardi students killed in nine months’ road accidents

In the last nine months, 8 students of an educational institution in Ishwardi were killed in 9 months in road accidents. These accidents happened from November last year to July this year. Ishwardi Highway Police Outpost has confirmed the death of students of Ishwardi Government Vocational Textile Institute. Three more students were injured in these accidents. The death of eight students of an educational institution in road accident within a span of nine months has left a mark on the minds of teachers and students. All expressed the opinion that these deaths are unacceptable.
It is known that five people were killed and two injured when a private car lost control in front of Pabna Sugar Mill on Ishwardi-Pabna highway at around 9 pm on July 4. All four of the deceased were students of the Textile Vocational Institute. They are Jihad Hossain (17), Shaon Hossain Noor (17), Shaon Hossain Sifat (17) and Riyadul Islam Shishir (18). Earlier on March 16, two motorcyclists were killed and one injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Gokulnagar area of Iswardi-Baneshwar regional highway. One of the two deceased is identified as Mizanur Rahman Mizan, a class 10 student of Vocational Institute.
