BASIC Bank holds 35th AGM

The 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of state-owned BASIC Bank Limited was held on Tuesday at the bank’s head office in the capital.

Professor Dr. Abul Hashem, chairman of the bank presided over the meeting while Md. Shah Alam, Additional Secretary, Financial Institutions Division of Finance Ministry attend the meeting as a representative of the bank’s sole shareholder.

Md. Anisur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of the bank delivered the welcome speech.

Among others, Dr. Nahid Hossain, Dr. Md. Abdul Khaleque Khan, Md. M. Latif Bhuiyan and, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Directors of the Bank, Abu Md. Mofazzal, DMD, and Md. Ismail, Md. Momenul Hoque, Sumit Ranjan Nath, Md. Shafiul Alam, Md. Hasan Imam, Dulon Kanti Chakrabarty and Md. Ghulam Syeed Khan, General Manager of BASIC Bank, and a representative of the Audit firm, Kazi Zahir Khan & Co. were also present at the meeting.

The financial statements for the year 2023 of the Bank were approved in the meeting. The chairman emphasized proper planning and its implementation to regain the lost glory of BASIC Bank in the days ahead.
