AL leader’s house burnt, 6 bodies recovered

Six dead bodies were recovered from the burnt building of Lalmonirhat District Awami League Joint General Secretary Sakhawat Hossain Sumon Khan at midnight.

The dead bodies were recovered by fire service members in the presence of army members around 2:30 on Monday night. The death body of the police handed them over to their families on Monday afternoon after the post-mortem.

The deceased are Tanmoy Mia (20), a first year student of Honors, son of the deceased Khokon Mia, a resident of Haribhanga area of Lalmonirhat Municipality and former president of the District Jubo Dal, Johnny Mia (18), a first year student of HSC, son of the deceased Sekender Ali of Nabinagar area of the municipality, Saidur Rahman of Khatapara area of Aditmari Upazila, son HSC first year student Shrabon (18), HSC pass Radif Hossain Rusu (17), son of Ziaur Rahman of Baraipara village of Fulbari upazila in neighboring Kurigram district, HSC first year student Rajib ul Karim (18) of Rajarhat Jaikumar village of the same district, Jisan(15) student of class nine, Lalmonirhat Tecnical School & College, of Cinipara Lalmonirhat sadar.
