Hasina pays tribute to Chinese heroes at Tiananmen Square

Visiting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Chinese heroes by placing a wreath at the Heroes Memorial in Tiananmen Square here on Tuesday.
After laying the wreath in the afternoon, the prime minister stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Chinese revolutionary heroes, reports UNB.

The national anthems of the two countries were played on the occasion, while bugle played the last post.

A smartly turned out contingent of China Armed Forces presented the state salute on the occasion.

The prime minister arrived here on Monday on a bilateral visit to China at the invitation of her Chinese Counterpart Li Qiang.
