The On Farm Research Division (OFRD) Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has arranged an Annual Progress Review (APR) workshop on ‘Modeling Climate Change Impact on Agriculture and Developing Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies for Sustaining Agricultural Production in Bangladesh’ at BARI Seminar Room on Wednesday.
Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) Dr Sheikh Mohammad Bokhtiar presided over the session while Former Secretary Dr Zahurul Karim was present as chief guest. Director (Crop & Natural Resources, KGF) gave a welcome address on the occasion. At this time, Project Coordinator (MCCA project) Dr Md. Maniruzzaman; Professor (Livestock & Poultry, BSMRAU, Gazipur) Dr Md. Morshedur Rahman and Professor (Fisheries, BAU, Mymensingh) Dr A.K Shakur Ahammad Brief Presentation on Research Achievements. Former Director (P&E, KGF) Dr Abdul Hamid gave the speech as a project reviewer in this workshop.
Former Executive Director of Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) Dr Jiban Krishna Biswas; Director General of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) Dr Debasish Sarker; Director General of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) Dr Md. Shahjahan Kabir and Former Director General of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) Dr Md. Matiur Rahman were present as special guests. Senior Scientists from various center/division from BARI/BRRI/KGF were present there also. At the end of program, Executive Director of Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) Dr Nathu Ram Sarker gave vote of thanks to participants.
