Educational institutions asked to plant trees

Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (DSHE) has instructed all educational institutions to carry out a tree plantation programme on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The DSHE gave the instruction in a letter on Tuesday.

However, the World Environment Day-2024 is being observed in the country as elsewhere in the world with a view to creating awareness about environmental pollution.

Different government and non-government organisations (NGOs) as well as educational institutions have chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day.
