Valiant freedom fighter Harun dies

Harun Or Rashid (72), a former headmaster of Madhukhali Pilot High School, a resident of Kuraniarchar, Naopara Union, Madhukhali Upazila, Faridpur, passed away while undergoing treatment at Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital on Sunday evening. He is survived by his wife, one son and three daughters.
On Monday (May 20) at 9 o’clock in the morning at the Kuraniarchar Eidgah Maidan, his body was buried in the public cemetery of four villages of Vallapur after the funeral and state honors.
Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate attended the ceremony. Mamnoon Ahmed Anik and a group of police force members led by Madhukhali police station (OC investigation) ShafikulAlam, leaders of upazila freedom fighter command, UP chairmanZahidulHasanTipu, former chairman Md. HabiburRahmanMolya and other dignitaries and freedom fighters of the area and teachers of various schools.
MadukhaliUpazila CPB expressed deep grief and condolences to the bereaved family on the death of the deceased.
