Madhukhali AL leader dies

Atiyar Rahman Miah (63), Publicity Secretary of Madhukhali Upazila Awami League (AL) and former General Secretary of Upazila Chhatra League, a resident of Paschim Garakhola of Ward No. 5 of Madhukhali Municipality died at 9 am local time while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, Chennai, India on Thursday. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter, relatives and many well-wishers.
On Friday night, May 17, the body of the deceased arrived at the West GarakholaMohalla house of the municipal headquarters from India. On Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m., the Janazah of the deceased was held at Madhukhali Central Eidgah ground. After the funeral, his body was buried in the family cemetery in his native village of Nadia Bazarkandi. Leaders of Awami League including RezaulHaque Baku and various well-wishers were present. Md.
