Patuakhali college girl’s hanging body recovered

The police recovered the hanging body of a college girl named Halima Jannat Maliha (24) from her uncle’s house in the Muslimpara area of the Kalapara upazila town under Patuakhali district on Thursday late night.
The deceased student Halima Jannat is the daughter of cloth merchant Shahid Molla of Mohipur in Maliha Upazila. She was a third-year BA (pass course) student at Kalapara Women’s Degree College.
According to police and local sources, five years ago she got married to Al Hadi Mohammad Abir, son of Shahzada Howladar, a resident of Amtali upazila.
For the sake of education, she used to study from the house of her uncle Mohiuddin Talukdar alias Milon, a resident of Muslimpara area in Kalapara municipal town.
The door of her room was locked since Thursday evening even after knocking it was not opened. So after reporting to the police, the police by breaking the door with the help of fire service members recovered the hanging dead body.
Kalapara police station OC Ali Ahmed said that the recovered dead body of the college girl sent to Patuakhali morgue for postmortem after lodging a case of unnatural death at the police station in this incident.
