Selim awarded best school teacher in Chandpur

Chandpur’s renowned institution Matripith Govt Girls’ High School’s senior assistant teacher
Sarker Mohammad Selim has been adjudged as the best school teacher in the district.
The decision was taken unanimously after scrutiny and over all consideration of his performances and co-curricular activities in the classes and school.
District Education Officer Pran Krishna Debnath, also member- Secretary of the District Education Committee, announced Selim as the best school teacher in the district officially after a meeting held on 6 May last in connection with the National Education Week-2024 with DC Md Kamrul Hasan in the chair.
Son of a valiant freedom fighter Late Abul Hossain Sarker and mother Shahanara Begum, Selim said, ” I have joined this noble profession as an assistant teacher in 2001.”
He hails from Kollandi village under Chandpur Sadar Upazila.
Expressing his reactions and joys, Selim has told the New Nation correspondent that as teaching is a noble profession, he has chosen this profession.
