Austagram brick kiln fined Tk 5 lakh

A mobile court of the Department of Environment (DoE) has fined a brick kiln Tk 5 lakh for violating the ‘Brick Preparation and Kiln Installation (Control) Act’ in Kishoreganj ‘s Ashtagram Austagram haor on Monday afternoon.
The. Executive Magistrate of Kishoreganj Collectorate., SM Mehedi Hasan led conducted this drive supported by Department of Environment (DoE) M/s Tabia Brick kiln at Alinagar area of Austagram haor.
Assistant Director of Department of Environment (DoE) Abdullah Al Matin told the New Nation that, the crime of operating a brick kiln in violation of the law has been fined. Such operations will continue in the future.
