Zimbabwe Cricket squad in Bangladesh

The Zimbabwe Cricket squad reached Dhaka at 5:00pm on Sunday. Then, the Zimbabwe Cricket squad left Dhaka for Chattogram in the last evening. The fifteen-member Zimbabwe squad arrived in Bangladesh to play five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Bangladesh Cricket team. The T20I series will be held marking the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the United States of America and the West Indies on June 1 to June 29.
Earlier, Zimbabwe Cricket announced the 15-member Zimbabwe squad, which will play five T20I matches against Bangladesh. Experienced Sikandar Raza will lead Zimbabwe as the Captain. He left his matches of Indian Premier League (IPL) to take part in the five-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
The Zimbabwe Cricket has included uncapped Johnathan Campbell in their squad. Johnathan Campbell is the son of former captain of Zimbabwe Cricket team Alistair Campbell. Johnathan Campbell is 26 years old. Alistair Campbell arrived in Bangladesh in 1999 to play against Bangladesh. At that time, Johnathan Campbell was only one year and three months old. After 25 years, Johnathan Campbell arrived in Bangladesh.
The Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has included experienced Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani. Besides, Tadiwanashe Marumani and Faraz Akram have been recalled in the squad.
Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the first T20I at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on May 3. Bangladesh will face Zimjbabwe in the second T20I at the same venue on May 5. Bangladesh will meet Zimbabwe in the third T20I at the same venue on May 7. After playing three T20I matches in the port city, Bangladesh Cricket squad and Zimbabwe Cricket squad will return to Dhaka to play rest of the two T20I matches. Bangladesh will play against Zimbabwe in the fourth T20I at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on May 10. Bangladesh will meet Zimbabwe in the fifth and last T20I at the same venue on May 12.
Zimbabwe Cricket squad will depart Dhaka for home on May 13.
