Kohli fined for on-field outburst in IPL

Virat Kohli has been fined 50 percent of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Sunday, April 21.

Kohli’s penalty stems from his reaction after being dismissed during RCB’s chase.

The former RCB captain was given out on a caught and bowled by Harshit Rana from a full toss, a delivery Kohli believed should have been called a no-ball for being above waist height.

Kohli expressed his displeasure to the on-field umpires, leading to the code of conduct violation.
