Bangabandhu higher edn award distributed in Rangpur

Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarships were distributed among the poor and meritorious students in a casual ceremony in Rangpur. Scholarship cheques were handed over to the awardees in the ‘Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship 2024 cheque Presentation Ceremony’ organised by the initiative of the private development organization RDRS Bangladesh in its Rangpur office on Sunday.
Md. Fasiullah, Executive Vice Chairman of Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) was present as chief guest in the event under the chairmanship of RDRS Bangladesh Executive Director Tapan Kumar Karmakar. Rangpur ADC General Habibul Bashar Rumi was present as special guest and Muhammad Majidul Haque, Executive Director of Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) was present as guest of honour. The program was moderated by RDRS Bangladesh Director-Small Credit Tariq Saeed Haroon. Begum Rokeya University Associate Professor Md. Omar Farooq, Rangpur District School Teacher Md. Safizar Rahman, Sahina Sutana, Journalist Zainal Abedin etc. spoke at this time.
In the event, 10 students were given scholarships of Tk 1 lakh 5 thousand in two categories. Under the Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship, a monthly check of Tk. 4,000 per person for three months is given as a total of Tk. 60,000 to five persons as 12,000 and under the Diploma Course Scholarship, a total of Tk.45, 000 is paid to five persons as a monthly cheque of Tk. 3,000 per person.
