Deceased SL leader’s family gets MP Waheed’s shelter

One week after the death of Sheikh Jalal Uddin, the organizing secretary of Road Transport Sramik League (SL) of Bhaluka Upazila, Mymensingh, Jalal’s little son and the family were taken over by Mohammad Abdul Waheed, an independent member of parliament elected from Bhaluka. He went to Jalal’s house in the municipality on Friday (22 March 2024) and inquired about his family and announced to pay 50 thousand taka in cash and 20 thousand taka per month for family expenses.
Taslima Akhter, the wife of deceased Jalal, said that the MP always inquired about my husband when he was sick in the hospital and gave financial donations. Today again he came to our house and inquired. He has announced to give me 50 thousand in cash and 20 thousand taka every month to run the family expenses. It will benefit us a lot. We pray for the MP sir, may Allah keep him well always.
Asaduzzaman Sumon, general secretary of Bhaluka Press Club said our Bhaluka MP is an international industrialist; he always donates crores of rupees for the development of the area and social development. He is a philanthropist; he always inquiries of the leaders and activists and gives financial assistance to the needy. That’s why he was elected as an independent MP candidate in this election with huge votes.
In this regard, Bhaluka MP Mohammad Abdul Waheed said that the late Sheikh Jalal was a dedicated worker of Awami League, spent his life in youth politics. We are saddened by his untimely death. He was slogan master in all kinds of processions of Awami League.
