Shakib to play for Sheikh Jamal in DPL

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will play for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited in this year’s Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket.

Shakib Al Hasan had been playing for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited for three years before he has been included in the Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited squad.

It was known that Shakib Al Hasan will play for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited.

He announced in last December at a programme that he would play for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited. Shakib Al Hasan has been registration for the Dhanmondi based outfit through online, an official of the club confirmed this information on Wednesday.

It may be mentioned that Yasir Ali, Ripon Mondol and Tipu Sultan also changed their teams on the same day.

Today Dhaka Abahani Limited, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and Legends of Rupganj will take part in the players’ transfer window. Besides, Prime Bank Cricket Club took part in the players’ transfer window yesterday.

Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim will play for Prime Bank Cricket Club in this year’s Dhaka Premier League Cricket.

It is noteworthy that no foreign player will participate in this year’s DPL Cricket.

As there are three formats of series against Sri Lanka during the DPL, the cricketers of Bangladesh Cricket teams will not play in the beginning of the DPL. Sri Lanka Cricket squad will arrive in the city on March 1. On the other hand, the DPL is scheduled to be start on March 9.
