Zero tolerance towards medical negligence
Staff reporter :
Health Minister Dr. Samanta Lal Sen said my first goal is to spread medical services to the entire rural area of Bangladesh. If I can make every health complex or district-level hospital self-sufficient, then the patients will not flock to Dhaka or Chittagong for treatment.
He said these things in response to questions from journalists after visiting the Mirzapur Kumudini Complex in Tangail on Monday morning.
The minister also emphasized the prime minister’s zero tolerance towards medical negligence and irregularities so that no patient is subjected to wrong treatment by doctors.
On the issue of the non-availability of doctors in the villages, the health minister said that because the doctors do not want to stay in the villages, we have to talk to them. The Ministry of Health is working on providing adequate protection to doctors in villages.
At that time, Tangail Sheikh Hasina Medical College Director, Dr. Md. Abdul Quddus, Kumudini Welfare Trust Director Rajiv Prasad Shaha, and other officials were presented with him.
