Gas supply to remain off in parts of capital

Gas supply will be halted for three hours today in some areas of the capital.
Titus Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, a gas supplier in Dhaka and surrounding districts, has informed the media of this information on Monday.
According to the source, gas supply will remain off in those areas of Dhaka from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Tuesday for emergency repair works on the gas pipeline.
The areas of Dhaka city are: Moghbazar, Noyatola, Modhubagh, Tejgaon, Hatirjheel, Mirerbagh, Gabtola, Greenway, Peyerabagh, Eskaton, Dilu Road, and surrounding areas.
Titus Gas authority also said that the gas supply will be closed for all categories of customers in these areas. At the same time, low gas pressure may prevail in the surrounding areas.
It is regularly working on gas pipeline renovation. For this reason, Titus has to shut down the gas supply to various areas from time to time, added the company.
