Govt not indifferent to price hike: AL
Staff Reporter :
Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader reiterated that the government is actively addressing the challenge of rising prices of essential commodities and has not shown any indifference to the issue.
Quader’s statement, made during a press conference at the AL president’s Dhanmondi political office on Monday, was in response to criticism from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) regarding the government’s approach to soaring commodity prices.
Quader dismissed BNP’s accusations, emphasising the party’s lack of credibility and support from the people and workers, while affirming the government’s commitment to implementing measures to curb the escalating prices of essential goods.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, also highlighted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s participation in the Munich Security Conference as a testament to Bangladesh’s significance on the world stage.
