2 kids missing for month

Two students have been missing for one month as they were going to attend a waj mehfil (religious gathering) in Chunarughat. They are Salman Ahmed (15), son of Nuh Mia of Sonatala village in Mirashi union of the upazila. He is a 8th grade student of Bahubal Hamidnagar Qoumi Madrasa. The other boy is Nayan Mia (7), son of Suhail Mia, a Dubai resident of the same area. Nayan is a second grader of a local Brac school.
Nayan’s mother and Salman’s mother filed a general diary (GD) at Chunarughat police station on January 17 and Salman’s mother on January 20 as they could not be found after much searching. The two students went missing on January 16.
The family members of the missing students are spending days in worry. Mahmuda Akhtar, mother of missing Salman, said that Salman studied in madrasa and Nayan in a local school.
Nayan’s mother Jasmin Akhtar Asma and Mahmuda Akhtar are crying for losing their children.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chunarughat Police Station Hillol Roy said that efforts are on to trace the boys. In-charge SI Delwar Hossain said that Salman ran away from home several times before. However, messages have been sent to various police stations in search of them.
