Housewife rescued after 18 months

The Police have rescued a housewife named Ruma Akhtar (22) on Wednesday. She was in hiding for 18 months in Mithamain hoar upazila of Kishoreganj due to quarrel with her husban’. Police handed over the victim to her family on Thursday.
According to locals says, on September 7, 2022, at around 12 midnight, Ruma had a quarrel with her husband Saber over family matters. Ruma left for her father’s house at that night. The next day noon Saber went to his father-in-law’s house and told the incident.
The Officer in Charge (OC) in Mitamoion Police Station, Ahasan Habib said that, Ruma Akhter, a housewife, ran away from her husband residence 17 months ago. Police have rescued victim and handed over to her family.
