Mother takes life after killing children

A mother has committed suicide after killing her two children at Kamalpur village under Gutudia union in Dumuria upazila of Khulna district.

The deceased were identified as Doly Begum, 38, wife of Mannan Sarder, and her two children—six-year-old daughter Fatema and seven-month-old son Omar.

Being informed, police recovered the dead bodies and sent those to a morgue for autopsy on Saturday.

According to locals and police, Doly had killed her children before committing suicide between 8am and 11am over a family feud.

Khulna Additional Police Super Md Asif Iqbal confirmed the news. Earlier on Friday, a woman and her minor son were found dead in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna.

The deceased were Laboni Khatun, 35, wife of Abdur Rashid, a resident of Dighulia village in the upazila who stays in Malaysia, and their son Riyad Hossain, 8.
