UP chairman sent to jail for death of neonatal in clinic

Mizanur Rahman (40), Upazila Awami League Organizing Secretary, Douatla UP Chairman and partner of Sundarban Hospital and Diagnostic Center in Bamana upazila under Barguna district was sent to jail as one of the defendants in the case of death of a newborn due to wrong treatment of doctors.
On Sunday (January 21) afternoon, when the arrestee from Dhaka was brought before the Bamna Judicial Magistrate Court, the court rejecting his bail prayer and ordered to send him to Barguna district jail on Sunday afternoon.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bamana police station Tushar Kanti Mondal said in a case of wrongful treatment in that private medical center, Sagir Hossain, father of the victim Meghna, filed a murder case in the police station on January 16.
